A wearable little talisman of Greek symbolism, superstition and sheer bloody-mindedness.
This original HotCripKitty design combines pomegranates for luck, abundance and prosperity, Olives for endurance and triumph, the Rod of Asclepius for healing, and broken classical pillars representing a strong life interrupted, without diminishing its beauty.
Scattered stars represent the different ways ALS can affect a person and the individuality of every life lived with the disease. The 'mati', or evil eye, sits at the heart of the design alongside “Ftou! Ftou! Ftou!”**, the traditional Greek gesture of spitting three times to ward off bad fortune.
And because apparently even Greek superstition wasn't quite enough, the pattern also declares: “F*ck whatever you want, ALS!”
Pretty, practical, culturally rooted... and absolutely not taking any 💩 from a terminal disease.
